JUST DO IT!

"JUST DO IT! What?
JUST DO IT! Why?
JUST DO IT! ...Tell me something else, there's something I'm yet to know, and failure to have me know it will have me JUST DOING IT."
***SIGH***
What a way to start a piece of writing I bet you're wondering.
Many by now have figured where and to whom exactly the afore mentioned phrase (JUST DO IT) belong. For those who haven't, its a byline, a trademark of one of the world's biggest sport kit company, NIKE.
Since its famous break into limelight, this word has never seized to inspire. At the mention of that phrase, you adrenaline pumps with a characteristic tickle in your body. The question of what exactly to do is usually not far-fetched. At the mention of the word "Just Do It" in your mind's-mouth, and more palpably, even from a person's lips or when read in a book, on a wall or on billboards, there commence a mind-scan/probe, you ordinarily want to relate it to something, you naturally want to tie it down to one pending issue, situation or assignment.
Like a notable few on the one hand, I've been inspired severally by this phrase. On the other hand, I've come to understand that we more often than not, just implement that word literally "Just Doing It" without a flair.
"THE MAN WHO DID A THING EXCELLENTLY WELL, WAS THE SAME WHO FOUND AND UNDERSTOOD WHY HE SHOULD DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE." -TW™
Yes, with that little quote there, we'll launch into the thick of this discourse.
"When the purpose for a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable." ; So goes a popular saying. Nothing just happens, and in fact, nothing should just happen. There is/must be a reason behind any sensible action. "ONLY A MAD MAN IS SPONTANEOUS" -TW™ .
On the inspirational prowess of this phrase I still dwell, only aiming at seeing how we can all make the best out of our "Do".
I have observed that many of those who made ground breaking achievements in their various endeavors were those who did not only "Just Do It", but also found and understood a JUSTIFICATION to do it. (To Justify is to adduce adequate grounds for.)
Friends what you do without a solid understanding of why you must, can and will never be done to the best. I'll rather you " JUST KNOW WHY" than you "JUST DO IT".
Out of knowing why you should do what you must comes the energy to do perfectly.
You're yet to do 'It' not because you haven't got enough motivational speeches spoken at/to you, but because you haven't laid hold from deep within you reason(s) why you must/should. "SEEK THE REASON" -TW™
SEEK THE REASON:
Seek the reason friend, its tantamount to owning your own petrol station instead of buying fuel from other merchants. Its deep, but you've got to understand this!
There are many sides to the phrase in question, but for the sake of this address and what it aims at achieving, I'm staying on its inspirational content.
You can be inspired to try, you can also be inspired to fail. I've seen some journey fast to nowhere, I've heard some jump so high only to fall harder. A venture embarked upon without a known and well evaluated RATIONALE will only amount to a waste of time and effort, no matter how high-sounding the motivation at the point 'Start' is.
"DON'T JUST DO IT, FIND A JUSTIFICATION TO DO IT." -TW™
Why in the first place would I initiate a project/process without first knowing the reason why I should?
A good question to have asked.
PUT THE REASON BEFORE THE ACTION:
It is only logical to put the reason before the action, but I tell you, this, as logical as it is, this is not always obtainable. ANXIETY and SPONTANEITY often intervenes with right thinking, making many put the cart before the horse.
Too many motivational talks, books seminars etc, with only few driving down into the man, the power of sound reasoning. We have severally and still are being fooled to think MOTIVATION + ACTION = SOLUTION/SUCCESS, whereas its;
MOTIVATION + ACTION, in the presence of REASONING/A REASON TO, acting as the catalyst, under an atmosphere of OPTIMISM that equates to success.
How could I have said it all, when time and space have failed me already, and my love for your time will readily not allow me keep you glued to your web/mobile device reading an epistle.
We should go now, but not without an emphasis of a sort;
The next time you're asked to "JUST DO IT", fail not to interrupt the voice or thought, saying you'll rather "JUST KNOW WHY" (Well, that's if you must do it excellently).
Finally, and I reiterate;
*******************
"THE MAN WHO DID A THING EXCELLENTLY WELL, WAS THE SAME WHO FOUND AND UNDERSTOOD WHY HE SHOULD DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE." -TW™
********************
"MOTIVATION + ACTION, in the presence of REASONING/A REASON TO, acting as a catalyst, under an atmosphere of OPTIMISM is what equates to SUCCESS, and not mere MOTIVATION + ACTION".
*********************
"DON'T JUST DO IT, FIND A JUSTIFICATION TO DO IT." -TW™
Nota Bien: "There's SUCCESS, and there's GOOD SUCCESS, the former comes with judicious practice of this and many more success laws, while the latter combines along with its 'recipe' a very germane component; "The GOD FACTOR".
