I Know You Know

. . . "You know am sick of this country; You know the only thing that keeps me going now is the understanding #God isn't a wicked god after all; You know the good life we ought to be living is now only available in the "BLACK MARKET" where you have to buy it for triple or even quintuple the rate; You know all we do here is "make believe", we're all actors in this game called life and country called #Nigeria; You know we struggle so hard in this country, you know; You know the rich are actually poor, and the poor are actually doomed; You know we're thinking #2019 is a joke, but it's not; You know we are fond of thinking we'll always survive, but someday we won't; You know we don't take posts like this so serious, it doesn't even have a naked girl in it; You know there's really nothing you can do to fix Nigeria than vote and live wisely, you know; Yo know the weather now is AC resistant, and it'

BEFORE ITS TOO LATE AGAIN

…(A Piece On Mobile Telecommunication Services And Its Irregularities In Nigeria)”. The entry of mobile telecommunication services into the country as announced by the President Olusegun Obasanjo led administration on August 2001 was a grand one. Winning a rousing welcome from the people. Alas! It was the end of bias, the rich and the poor can now play on a level plain ground (Only telecommunication-wise, though). Keeping in touch with family and friends was now a phone call away. The advent of the mobile telecommunication services became a blessing to long distant relationships, business people, amongst many others. It brought communication comfort unequaled, relative peace of mind and mended broken bridges of relationships which have suffered lack of communication earlier. These comfort and gains did not come without a price, in fact, it came with a huge one. The cost of a mobile phone at the time was huge, ranging from #20,000-#50,000 on the average depending on what the

NCC Set To Regulate Your Use of Social Media

Hello,  it's time to watch your backs (well, that's if you can). See main article after the cut: The Nigerian Communications Commission is considering a framework for the regulation of over-the-top services in the Nigerian telecoms market.Over-the-top services, otherwise known as OTT, are services carried over the networks, delivering value to customers, but without any carrier service provider being involved in planning, selling, provisioning, or servicing them.OTT services are offered through Internet communication. In Nigeria, the most common OTT services are WhatsApp messenger, BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, and Skype which are classified under social media applications. In other words, telecom operators such as MTN, Etisalat, Glo, and Airtel lack direct control or influence over WhatsApp messenger, BBM, Facebook or Skype.Internet telephony and live streaming are also part of OTTservices. The growth of OTT services is encouraged by the access to 3G and 4G networks which offer

Who is a Minister of State?

‎Finally, ministers have taken their oaths of office in my country Nigeria. Perhaps there were surprises, perhaps there were not, but a few Nigerians got their speculations right.   Today I watched the President call out names of ministers designate, with their offices one after the other from the 1st to the 36th.  Like in previous successive administration, some he called Ministers, some he called Minister of State or State Ministers. A larger chunk of the populace only have an idea as to who a Minister of State is, but not an exact knowledge.   So...................... Who is a Minister of State? A Minister of State reports to the Cabinet Minister. To be precise, he/she is the junior member who works in close coordination with a Union Minister to help the latter in meeting national goals pertaining to that Ministry. It is incumbent upon a State Minister to deal with issues of the ministry under the aegis of the Union Minister. Who is a Cabinet Minister? A Cabinet

Nigeria, You, & Me.

There are only 2 answers to every question of Life, besides them, others are mere MODIFICATIONS and never perfect answers. No situation in the life of a man ever leaves him sitting on the FeNcE, because EveRy mAN is either "HERE" or "THERE",and there's nothing like a HERETHERE. We somewhat answer a YES or a NO to every given situation either through verbal or non-verbal communication. Beware! The Yes you say today, may make you a NO tommorrow, and the No you say today can make you a YES in the future. REMEMBER THE SUBTLE YES EVE DISPLAYED IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN? IT BROUGHT US TO THE POINT WE ARE TODAY. Like that folk song we used to sing way back in elementary days; "Wherever you go, wherever you be... Do not say a YES when & where you mean to say a NO". Life is an aggregate of choices, and every man is made or mar by the aggregate of his YES' and NOs. The ability of a man to make PROPER use of these two words in LIFE,is what i call TRUE INDEPEN

The Nigerian Lesbian World -(An Article For Change)

he African society views same-sex relationships as repulsive. Yet in Nigeria, homosexuals live among us. A few hide their status from the world’s prying eyes, while the majority however do not care. Some of them take Ruth Olurounbi through their worlds, insisting that they have been unfairly judged and misunderstood. Her report: Temitope Ali (not her real name), became a lesbian at age 15 during her secondary school days at a girls only boarding school. She was sent to the boarding school because ‘it was the in thing back then’, she said. Besides, a boarding school was an avenue for self discipline and self development in the arts of felinity, among others. Ali said, looking back, being a lesbian was something she couldn’t have imagined herself being, considering that she was from a devoted Muslim home which frowns against same sex relationships. “In fact, having heterosexual sex before marriage is something that is strictly frowned on my religion. So, becoming a lesbian is somethin
