HEARSAY (The Menace).

...If the story of a man must be told correctly, then it must be told by eyes who saw it, and not ears that heard it.
In this age so pervert that the eyes sending correct signals is disappointed by a mind/brain which processes them using pre-existing variables within it, irrespective of what it is that was sent into it.
The ears are not left out, they are infact one of the most culpable in this. Perhaps some have word manipulating organs/devices in theirs and don't know, and the reason why many hear the same sound resonance and it yet get entirely different things transmitted to their individual cerebral hemisphere, I don't know.
It is often said, and proven correct that;
"A RUMOR GOES IN ONE EAR, AND OUT THROUGH MANY MOUTHS."
But then,
"IT IS NOT IN THE WORDS THAT ARE SAID, BUT IN THE HEARTS THAT RECIEVE THEM" -TW™
Little wonder the popularity of the quote: "I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU SAY, AND NOT WHAT YOU HEAR".
Those trademark quotes will form a foundation for this brief discourse. Ride with me patiently as I elucidate with precision, 2-major issues and a few attachés on the subject; "Hearsay".
-It's more about the receiving heart. Hence, condition your heart appropriately.
-Speak only of what you saw or have confirmed, avoid that negative creativity.

It's amazing how energetic we can get, recounting ordeals we never saw nor experienced. It baffles me how 'creative' we appear and become when narrating stories we most assuredly only heard of, not saw.
A huge percentage of relationship have met their waterloo on the platform of a HEARSAY. Lots of lives have been taken as a result of information fabricated, falsified or wrongly delivered.
I wish the man who spreads a third-party sourced information would be plain enough to include in his narration, the manner in which he retrieved his information, it would have been a much more easier task salvaging the miserable situation we are in. ...But ofcourse, pride won't let him.
Please note that; "ANY FORM OF CREATIVITY THAT ALTERS THE ORIGINAL AND TRUE FORM/POSITION OF A PIECE OF INFORMATION HAS GOT NO OTHER NOMENCLATURE THAN; LIE." -TW™

I said in my opening paragraph, and again I reiterate;

Information/Words have got one property similar to those of magnets, MAGNETISM. When words travel, they do not journey unaccompanied, they attract other words and take them along with themselves. More often than not their magnetic properties have them coated with entirely different raiment on arrival at the destination. Little wonder a "Hi" said right behind you may get to the man in front of you and sound a "Lie", and a "Give him the chair" spoken to one man, may be delivered eventually as "Hit him with a chair".
Words, Man, Time......Indisputable factors that control life and existence. And of them all, words stand out, it was and is the basis of creation.
I remember ruminating upon that opening quote in the 2nd paragraph of this piece, and I enthused. I sought to verify my claims, yet something deep inside of was hoping to be proven wrong. If truly the words matter less than the man receiving them, then of a kind is the heart of the rumor monger and that of the one who hears, accept and goes ahead to propagate without verifying what he/she was told. Neither of them is more matured than the other, nor can be exonerated from this unethical act.
Hearsays can be very misleading, and as far as I am concerned, and I know this is obtainable with many, "THE TRUTH ONLY BAGS ITS STATUS OF WORTHINESS AFTER A CONFIRMATIO"N -TW™
Hence, beware of those "I'm telling you the truth"s, TO SEE IS TO BELIEVE!
"THE STRENGTH OF A LIE IS IN THE EXTENT OF ITS PROPAGATION"-TW™
For in our subconscious, we give every information we receive, a benefit of doubt and somewhat act on them as if they were true. Yes you may be sincere you never meant to, but you see, you just can't help considering what you heard, be it true or false.
Want to weaken an idea, story, rumor or thought? TRUNCATE ITS PROPAGATION! As much as you can, always let it end at your feet, let rumors/unconfirmed talks ("gist" we call them) meet their end at your doorstep.
Hearsays are destructive and can lead one to actions/responses uncalled for. Hear correctly, refuse to join in their spread. As much as you can, confirm all reports, be sure of what the truth is. Infact, "IF YOU DID'NT SEE IT, DON'T TALK IT, and IF YOU MUST SAY IT, THEN BE HUMBLE TO ADMIT YOU'RE SHARING A RUMOR" atleast until it is confirmed. Desist from feigning eye-witness. Say only that which you saw, you would be tempted to "spice" it up with your imagination, but be guided and aware that the little extra added will do someone great harm, and could leave a handful in confusion, and the whole situation in disarray.
Friends, "IF YOU DID'NT HEAR IT WITH YOUR OWN EARS, OR SEE IT WITH YOUR OWN EYES, DON'T INVENT IT WITH YOUR SMALL MIND AND SHARE IT WITH YOUR BIG MOUTH".
I understand well the impossibility for us as humans to see all and be everywhere, ofcourse we only possess the form and likeness of the Omnipresent, but we ourselves aren't omnipresent. And I do not dispute the inevitable fact that some incidences must be reported to us by those who witnessed them. The concern at hand today is about your reception of the said report.
Do you verify?
Do you run a second check?
Or do you just capitalize and build your opinion on a hearsay?
Friends, there's a much higher level to operate, one where you can speak and be trusted. Before you join the broadcast chain of any piece of information, be sure to verify what the truth is. And if you must share as a matter of urgency or necessity, you can only be reasonable, sincere and mature by indicating that it's a hearsay. Never ever sound confusing to appear like an on-site eye witness of such claims when you are not one.
