10 Types of “Creatures” In Your WhatsApp Group

Which are you? W hatsApp groups and their complexities, uniqueness and craze. There is no amount of words to describe the absurdity. They're fun, they're serious, they're up, they're done and they're mostly completely random...  We all belong to at least one category, even if we may not want to admit it. You will most definitely find these kinds of people in almost every Whatsapp group, no matter how hard you deny it. 1. Master of Irrelevancies There's always someone in the group who sends all the memes, videos, BCs, etc he/she sees that day. They send them in no particular order, and once we get tired and hit at them, they hide under the "you don't know who might be needing it" gist. We all know it's not going to be their last one no matter how hard we cry... 2. The Error Voicenote Dude There's always one person who's constantly sending voice notes, either because he or she is too lazy to type

WORLD MOST CORRUPT NATIONS - Nigeria Has Improved, Has She Not?

Nigeria has been ranked as 136 on the list of world's least corrupt countries in the year 2015.According to Transparency International's corruption perceptions index, Nigeria's rating is a far cry from the top ten in the world as is being speculated in some quarters.Denmark, the rating revealed, tops the perceptions index for the second consecutive year but more countries are improving than worsening even as the United States and United Kingdom reached their highest rankings ever. The list released on Wednesday, January, 2016, showed that Denmark scored 91 points out of a possible 100 while North Korea and Somalia remainedat the bottom with unchanged scores of 8.Nigeria's rating is expected to be on the rise following the recent corruption bedeviling the $2.1 billion arms deal scandal for which Sambo Dasuki, former National Security Adviser (NSA); Olisa Metuh national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), among other top dogs in thecountry are prese

Who is a Minister of State?

‎Finally, ministers have taken their oaths of office in my country Nigeria. Perhaps there were surprises, perhaps there were not, but a few Nigerians got their speculations right.   Today I watched the President call out names of ministers designate, with their offices one after the other from the 1st to the 36th.  Like in previous successive administration, some he called Ministers, some he called Minister of State or State Ministers. A larger chunk of the populace only have an idea as to who a Minister of State is, but not an exact knowledge.   So...................... Who is a Minister of State? A Minister of State reports to the Cabinet Minister. To be precise, he/she is the junior member who works in close coordination with a Union Minister to help the latter in meeting national goals pertaining to that Ministry. It is incumbent upon a State Minister to deal with issues of the ministry under the aegis of the Union Minister. Who is a Cabinet Minister? A Cabinet

"A Country Full Of Infidels" - Boko Haram Leader Labels Many As Infidels, Names Targets Too.

Leader of the Jama’atu Ahlus Sunnati Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, has vowed to launch more attacks on Nigeria and Nigerians. Kingpin of the dreaded sect in a new video made available to newsmen, has threatened to target Nigeria’s refineries and top northern leaders such as IBB, Buhari, Atiku and others. This is coming barely 73 hours after its members wasted several lives in renewed attacks in Adamawa and Borno States. He said the state of emergency currently imposed on Adamawa, Borno and Yobe State would not prevent them from carrying out their attacks. Shekau called on his members in other states, particularly Kano, to attack civilians and government institutions. The full text of his 28-minute video, delivered in Hausa, reads thus; “My brethren…you should hold on to your weapons and continue fighting. Let them understand that our work is not confined to Yobe, Borno and Adamawa (states). Make them understand that we are not restricted by emer

May 29 & THE FOURTH REPUBLIC

"Fellow Nigerians, the entire Nigerian scene is very bleak indeed. So bleak people ask me where do we begin? I know what great things you expect of me at this New Dawn. As I have said many times in my extensive travels in the country, I am not a miracle worker. It will be foolish to underrate the task ahead. Alone, I can do little." -Olusegun Obasanjo (May 29 1999.) "Very bleak" in 1999, what do we say in 2013, how clearer or even bleaker has it become? (The answer rings in all our minds). Obasanjo stated openly that he was not a "Miracle Worker" ...NIGERIA NEEDS A MIRACLE TO BE FIXED isn't it? With the 2015 General (S)elections around the corner, in what is expected to usher Nigeria into another republic, a spate of confusion in the polity, power play, political witch-hunting amongst other things are the recent characteristic features of the Nigerian scene. Every action and political decisions seem to be bearing the 2015 regime in mind and sight. A

Indeed and In-Truth -A WORKER'S DAY

HAPPY WORKERS DAY TO THE NIGERIAN WORKERS Today, I raise my cup, to the workers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria: Today I salute the Men, Women, young adults and even shamefully under-aged children, who work, claw and break sweat just to earn a decent wage and make a honest living Today, I duff my hat to those Generals up and about this nation (from Ketu to Kuru and from Ikeja to Lokoja) Men and women who have dedicate themselves to honest efforts and righteous ventures- those who have chosen to reap only that which was sown and to earn only what they are duly due Today, I choose to recognise their efforts, I choose to celebrate their doggedness and I am determined to raise high these special classes of people whose rewards until now have been nothing but scorn, shame and ill-repute To start with, Nigeria is unlike any nation of the world With natural resources that rivals many rich nations like American and human capital that is literarily unimaginable in depth and promise,

To 'serve' or To 'serve'?

Wanting to be a female Corp Member without wearing trousers; how reasonable? Haven laid hold of Tolu (The decamped corps member)'s story and reasons for being obstinate about wearing the khaki trouser, I felt we should look deeply into the matter and plot a way forward from here. . . "Tolulope, who was expelled from the nysc orientation camp last week said that wearing of trousers negate her Christian belief and values which she could not compromise. She said, “I had a dream when I was 10 years. God appeared to me through a scripture that as a child of God, I must abstain from men’s wears and since then I have taken cognizance of it. And my parents know this as well.” “Before I had the dream, I never wore trousers and even after the dream, up till now. I have not wore trousers. I explained everything to the leadership of the NYSC but they said the penalty for not wearing the khaki trousers is by being decamped. “I faced a panel and I was directed to submit all the
